Increase your undo levels in Coreldraw!!!!

Published by rakeshb03 under Corel Draw Tips Edit This

Do you ever wondered why there is only 20 defaults undo limits in CorelDRAW sometimes which causes inconveniences while working. One day what happen to me I have accidently deleted an object from a page of a multi page file unintentionally and when I have finished all my work and revisited that page again I found an important object was missing and as I have crossed the default undo limit, I could go to that level, where I have deleted the object. Then it make me very upset as anybody will be, when he has to redraw any work and I wish if I could be able to undo and copy that object and then redo upto my final work then paste the copied object where it should be, but there is no luck with my current work. But I found a solution to increase the undo levels from the option menu, so that I can manage if any thing goes wrong to any other file.
If any one of you also caught in a situation like me and don’t know what to do then don’t worry Go to Tools>option menu and click on general tab there you can find Undo levels to define and set the number you want and restart CorelDRAW. Now you can have as many undo levels you ever wished. It helps me a lot and I think you can also be benefitted using this tip.

Add rounded corners to a curved rectangle in CorelDraw x4

Published by rakeshb03 under Corel Draw Tips Edit This

In this tutorial you will learn how to add rounded corners to a rectangle which is converted to curve or any curve object which has sharp zig-zags.  Now let we begin this article from very scratch :

How to make a Corners of a rectangle round:

For this purpose we first draw a rectangle of our desired size and we should be very well aware of the fact when we draw any rectangle and wants it to have round corners we should make it of the exact size (there may be a fraction of differences but moreover it should be same. We can figure it out by looking at the properties bar of its width and height. You must be wondering —- Why? I will explain it later in this artcle.)

Let suppose we have to draw a rectangle of 1  X 1 square inch rectangle and to make round cornered press F10 or click on the shape tool icon from the toolbar.

Whit this shape tool when you click on the rectangle that you have already created. As soon as you have clicked on the rectangle you must  be noticed that all of its corner will be highlighted. Click on any one of the corner with the left mouse button and with the press button drag it to round the corner as per your requirement. You are always able to fourth or back this round corner at a later time if you want to change by applying the same procedure. With in the coreldraw if you want to round only a corner of a rectangle, this can be also done here, just click on rectangle and look at the properties toolbar there you will found the four text input button as shown below with a locked button on its right side. Unlock this locked button and enter any numeric value to one of the input text boxes and press enter. You will find the corner of the rectangle will be rounded relevant to position of the  input box. Through this procedure you can round each corner of any rectangle to any values.

Now let we assume we want to change the width of this rounded rectangle. Now as we stretch this rectangle look at round how its detract.

This is the reason why i have told you to draw the rectangle of the accurate size with one click as if you draw any rectangle and later stretched it and then if you want to make corners round the same station will happen again.

But what if you want to the same rectangle to be stretched there is also a solution of it. Convert this rectangle into curve through Arrange Menu and then convert to curves situated at the bottom or by simply pressing Ctrl+Q. After converting into curves use the shape tool again to the same box now you would figure out this time none of the nodes from the corners are highlighted as earlier they were. Now this time you have to manually select nodes through which sides you want to stretch it as shown below:

Don’t forget to press Cntrl button while you stretch the nodes as it will make stretching in a strait line. Using the shape tool you can stretch in any way you want. Now what if you have made this rectangle a curve read further.

Round the  corner of any curve:

For this purpose go to windows and then dockers there you will find a menu with the name Fillete/Scallof/Charfar click on it. This will open the docker window

With in this window you can find with may found Fillete in the drop down menu

Through this menu you can round any curve whether it is closed or open with any extent as shown above. Just click on any curve and put the radius value in Fillet option and click apply there you are done.

Now i hope you will find this article helpful if it is so plz make a comment in the form.
