Microsoft Made .net vulnerable to hackers….. Mozilla blocks..

Published by rakeshb03 at 8:26 pm under New Tips, Tricks 'n' Technology Edit This

Recently it was admitted by Microsoft that “Windows Presentation Foundation and the .NET Framework Assistant” which was released in Feb. 2009 had some flaws which can be used by hackers to gain access to Windows PC through Mozilla FireFox. As earlier it installs itself silently as a FireFox extension to a pc and apparently at the same time it also affects Internet explorer too…

Thus as a precautionary measure what Mozilla has decided to block  this add on from its FireFox browsers to protect its users. Explaining the rationale behind the move, Mike Shaver, head of engineering at Mozilla said that “Because of the difficulties some users have had entirely removing the add-on, and because of the severity of the risk it represents, we contacted Microsoft today to indicate that we were looking to disable the extension and plug-in.”
