Problem fixed “Packet data access point not valid”
As of now almost every one who keeps himself in touch with Internet must have heard of Aircel Pocket Internet Plan with only 98 rs per month or three days of unlimited Internet for three days. But the question is that some of us still have confusion whether this service can be used with pc or not. Then the answer is yes as I am using the same service to write this article.
Though the service from Aircel being the cheapest in India and it encourage many people but some time it is a havoc to connect to Internet as what some of my friends says every time they tried to connect it to any pc it shows an error as saying “Subscribe to Packet data first” or something like “ Packet data access point not valid“. Thus resulting them with the connection disconnected.
So let’s resolve this, first make sure that you can access Internet on your mobile using the inbuilt wap service. If yes then only you can access to Internet on your pc using Aircel as it is an assurance that GPRS is enabled on your number.If no then you have to subscribe it first for the settings required to avail this service. Fur such a settings go to meny from your mobile to Aircel services and Click on Data Vas and send a massage to get the required settings. And check the Internet connection again once the settings received.
And when finally you can access the Internet on your mobile let’s proceed to our main problem “How to connect Aircel Pocket Internet to a PC“. So the next step is make sure that your phone have an inbuilt modem to support data access to PC (Here make it clear that it is totally different from data storage access as we do while copying or pasting data from a memory card, it is a modem or network connection while connecting to Internet). If so now install the latest version of Nokia PC suite if you are using a Nokia Phone or the relevent software for your other phone here I am describing connecting your pc using the Nokia PC suite.
Once your Nokia phone connected to a PC using Nokia PC Suite (Don’t forget to choose Nokia PC suite when your phone prompts to choose a data cable connection and your Nokia PC suite is the latest one which is vr 7.1) Now click on Connect to Internet and you will get a screen as shown below click on the marked button and you will get the option of select the modem, there, choose the desired one and click next once again.
Now on the next screen choose the option to configure connection manually and proceed to next step
and with in the next window enter aircelgprs for the access point and leave the remaining entries blank and click finish.
This is all done and restart the Internet connection process again and hopefully you will be connected to Internet with in minutes. Now enjoy surfing using AIIRCEL POCKET INTERNET - the cheapest plan ever.
