Firefox 3.5 Plug-in Compatibility Problem : Fixing trick

Quite sometime ago Mozilla has launched its latest FireFox version 3.5 with a lot of speed enhancement and updated security and as being a FireFox lover I rush to have a copy of it. But once I downloaded the latest version and installed in my PC, I found myself disappointed as several of my plug-ins that i was using started showing an incompatibility issues. Though, in the previous version, all of them were working pretty well. And thus you can say, I was forced to dump the latest version until I got any final solution about how can I use all the plug-ins with in FireFox 3.5. So finally today I got the solution by blocking some of the default settings of FireFox 3.5 and if you are also like me caught in the same situation then I am sure your waiting time is almost over.

So for this purpose open your Mozilla  FireFox 3.5 browser and type about:config in the address bar , doing so will result in warning box as shown below, but don’t worry click on the button “I will be careful…..”

Now you will be with a lot of option on the screen but here you need not to find or change any setting, what you have to is find any empty space and right click using your mouse button and from the pop up menu appears choose New > Boolean.

And you will get a dialogue box as shown below

Type there extensions.checkCompatibility and click ok and in the resulting pop up choose false and click ok. Once again repeat the same process you have done to create the new Boolean but this time the preference name will be as extensions.checkUpdateSecurity and its Boolean value again to be a false one.

Now the only thing remains is restart your FireFox Browser and yeh! its done dude!!!! And now you can use almost any plug-in you have used till date without any restriction….

However if you need to know how to install or remove the plugins in Mozilla Firefox click on the link below:
