My PC won’t boot after Motherboard change: Restarts Automatically
One day I was asked by one of my friend to check what happened to his PC, as earlier this week he has changed the mother board with a new one and since then he experience this problem of frequent crashing. The motherboard he was using was Intel 945 chipset. Though myself also does everything I can like changing the RAM or resetting the BIOS by removing the batteries but the problem remain the same. One thing I need to mention the region where we were operating this PC lies in high temperature zone i.e temperature can reach up to 45 degrees. Then with several tries suddenly it flashes in my mind that may be this problem because of the temperature as now days almost every motherboard comes with a heat protection. This cause the system to shutdown when the CPU’s core temperature reaches to a certain limit and while looking with in the system BIOS I found the maximum limit was set at 71 degrees. Then both of thought for a while should we increase this limit? and finally we made it to 82 degrees. God knows how much we are afraid of what if something goes wrong? But everything was fine and now the PC was working smoothly. Though, here we find the solution to avoid the frequent restart but this was not a perfect one as increasing the limits can cause some other problems. But as we know what the problem is - Over Heating, we bought a new bigger heat sink and fan and reset its temperature to default level and from that day everything is fine. So guys if someone of you also facing same situation then try considering this issue also as it may also solve your problem.
