Published by rakeshb03 at 2:36 pm under New Tips, Tricks 'n' Technology Edit This

It is always a problem for every one to click several times to complete a simple task like a one to safely remove a media we first have to look at the system trey and then Double click using left button or right click and then we reach the destination to stop access to such hardware. But there is also a very simple way as to create the shortcut for the all these task we have completed and can be placed in the Quick Launch Bar or the Desktop as well.

  • create-shortcut.jpgFirst to do so, we have to create a shortcut. This can be done by right clicking on the Mouse button anywhere on the Desktop and selecting New > Create Shortcut.
  • Now on the next window appears which says “Type the Location of the Item”  type or copy and paste -

RunDll32.exe shell32.dll, Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll

and click next

  • In the next window simply put the name you want to give your new shortcut like “Remove USB Media” and click finish. This is all done to create a shortcut but if you want to go further to create a keyboard shortcut then Right Click on the New Shortcut and click properties. There you will find a Shortcut key filed return none now change it to “Ctrl key + F10″or any other key you wish and click ok. Shortcut is created.

So you can also send this link to Quick Launch Bar for easy access but if you don’t know what to do to send it in the Quick Bar Click here.
