Reserve your Laptop batteries…. from being run out!!!
For everyone with a laptop must be wondering a fact that the battery life of his mobile or laptop is the key mobility factor being on the road. Many many times while working with your laptop on the go you find your battery goes exhausted, to tackle this situation some of us used to have a spare batteries and those who don’t try to finish out the work in a hurry which sometimes results in big loss. Though whatever be the situation there are some simple ways, by applying which we can save a lot of battery power….
Close Running Background Application: It is always useful to shutdown your unnecessary running application running in the background as more the application you are running more the work your system has to do resulting in more usages of power.
Tune your processor usages: Have you ever heard of Vista power Manager if not then consider it as today almost every notebook comes with a feature to change processor usage profiles with Vista Power Manager clicking on the battery icon on the system tray. You can choose between the performance to suit your best. As high performance is always the best but it consumes more power.
Manage your wireless: Always disable your wireless devices if they are not in use. All time running of Bluetooth and WiFi devices may chop of a lot of your battery power.
Control your Back-lit: As you must be aware that the brightness of your screen is directly connected with the battery power you should have to adjust your back-lit according to your room you are using it. For ex. you may lower the back-lit when you are at home and for the office you can set a larger value.
Control Yourself: Avoid seeing the movies and playing games on battery power as sometimes it is the main reason when we run off by the battery power. While playing CD’s or DVD’s, the drives consumes a lot of power and decoding and encoding of video and audio also is a very power consuming task.
