Robots will be taught to learn from their experiences
With in recent decades we have seen a lot development in the world of Robotics which has almost narrowed the gap between man and Machine Man. The major difference which still remains was the learning through experiences but very soon it will also become a matter of past as scientist have started to work on this streamline as should have to be done so that robots can also learn with their experience.
Alexander Stoatciev is the new name among the list of Robotics Scientist. He is currently working at Ayoya State University, USA as an assistant professor in electrical and computer engineering. He stats that, when he was only three or four years old, dreamed of such robots who is able to learn from his own experiences. Recently in a conference Alexander with some of his students has presented a Robotic Arm and from the audience he called a person to fold and bent his arm. Audience has followed what he was said to do. And after this Alexander signaled one of his students to show what this robotic arm learns. After playing with some commands on the computer robotic arm played the same action itself as it was done earlier manually.
Alexander is very positive about all his progress and says that very soon we have personal robots like we have personal computer till date. There is not much days left when this technique will be in reach of common man.
What Alexender and his assistants wanted to see is “can robots also learn in a way like a two year old child can.” For this purpose two of them are working on a software through which Lab Robots will be able to do several work and learn by their mistakes so that the same mistake did not repeated. And from the rest of the team one American student is studying the relation between Computer Engineering and Human-computer interaction. A Bulgarian Student is researching on their behavior like how can they use any material or objects as a tool to help in performing their work or is it possible that if they learn from their experiences can they become violent. A student named Mac Miller is working to teach them language so that these will be able to understand what its owner wants. All these information and software when installed in robotics hardware will result in personal computer. What Alexander is happy about that he very soon he will be able to introduce a robot which will be able to work a lot of daily matters with their own experience making our life easier.
As for about Alexander he was very much appreciated from the Hollywood fiction film Star Track. He has studied from an American University, Bulgaria. After that he started his work on Computer Science at Jorgia Institute of Technology, this was where he started his work on robotics. Let all of us say best wishes for him to produce his first baby robot very soon.
