Why there is shout to ban Google Earth?

google earth

During some last days in the wake of Mumbai Attacks, there is a very tough debate going on whether govt. should ban sites like Goggle Earth or information sharing sites like digg or twitter or should develop a way to control or manage its infrastructure. As these are found somehow involved in terrorist attacks by other way. Questions like such was first aroused in 2007 when some Goggle Images of Military Bases in London which is a very sensitive area were found at the Iraqi Insurgents bases. And now this time this matter once again in the lime lite as security agencies are claiming that Mumbai attackers were using images from Goggle earth to track their way. Incidents like these, when occurs led a controversial debate as some govt. says Goggle should remove images of very sensitive areas like Military camps, nuclear sites or government building while the other team is completely against it to ban such sites or their information. They also have their own reasons as well as they agree with the fact that images from these sites may be used by terrorist but in cases of emergency or flood or earthquake like situation these sites are seems to be very useful.
Sometimes it becomes very interesting to find that technologies which makes our life easier or our own infrastructure can be used against us. As with the twitter also, which is called very fast information sharing sits, is facing the same situation as it is also proposed as a site used by the terrorist to share information between each other. But only for this reason as some of bad minded person use these sites for their illegal work, these sites should be banned making a huge population who uses theses for their positive effort to suffer. This looks highly unfair to accept these allegations. We all of us use electricity and at several times it cause some mishappening which result sometimes in tragedy, none of us in that situation thinks about not to use electricity. A lot of accidents happened daily on the road then are we left driving on the roads? Then why all these rubbish words are in place that terrorist using these sites for their purpose so it should be banned.
Now at last, what I conclude whenever talks like this arrives and if they result in banning some of these only common man who use it for their work will suffer and for terrorist whose main purpose is terror will find another way. Instead of taking part in such debate we should give our positive effort in tackling with terrorism.
