Remove “Xp Antivirus 2008 - Virus/Spyware” manually — It’s very easy….

Is your system behaving suspiciously after you have visited any webpage and looks that the wallpaper has changed into white color written a warning there about antivirus attack or something like Antivirus detected on your computer. This is beacause of a spyware generally called ‘Antivirus Xp 2008 or its variations namely Winfixer, WinlFixer or Zlob. And in most cases it might be that the antivirus we have installed in our system fails to detect or delete this malicious spyware. Below is the solution how you can manually delete this spyware.

This program generally copied itself into the startup so that everytime you boot your computer it automatically get stated. For this reason, first of all you have to remove it from the start up list. To do so ..

  • go to Start > run
  • Then type mscofing and hit enter

This will open a pop up window where from the start up tab uncheck lphc35dj0e1an and click apply and restart. This will prevent the spyware from being automatically started. But be remember that you have only removed its startup properties its instances are still present on your system. To delete those files go to C:\windows\system32 and locate the file lphc35dj0e1an.exe and find if there is a folder lphc35dj0e1an.exe in program files delete it doing so will remove all the traces of the spyware.

But still i know you will yourself that you are able to change your wallpaper to change this

  • go to Start > run
  • then type gpedit.msc
  • Visit User Configuration> administrative templates > control panel > display
  • Right click on Remove Display in Control Panel
  • Click on Properties and then select as Disabled

Now in case if you also found the following items disabled them too:

  • Hide Desktop Tab
  • Prevent changing wallpaper
  • Hide Apperance and Themes tab
  • Hide Settings tab
  • Hide Screen Saver tab

This all make your system to run normally you can do whatever you want to with the wallpaper or screensavers etc.
