Where to Stand ….”Price or the Performance”
A year ago when there were humors about a PC for just only for Rs 10K (200 $)
or a laptop worth Rs. 20K(400$) have given a very good impression. But even today such PC’s have not impressed any one. Even today when a person is suppose to buy a computer he just try to choose the best for him, means he or she never bother expanding more money for a two Gb ram instead of if he/she planned for one which just cost him copules of more dollars or he will definatley opt for a 160 gb or more hard disk space even if they planned earlier for less space. And for monitors LCD are, of course the best choice.
The ULC(Ultra Low Cost) PC’s are important only for institutions or the corporates brand like retail or banking where a PC without an optical device is Ok but a home user cannot think a pc without a DVD writer, if there is a PC sold with Blue Ray disk the buyer will definately be a home user.
A figure only for India shows that there were around over 20 million PC sold last year in which a quarter were laptops and this figure is expected to double in the coming year.
This is just a figure which shows that if there is any choice between the war of price and the performance, the price factor always pushed backward. The buyer would always opt for the best for his personal experience.
