With the world being more hi-tek day by day and all the business deals are finalized through mails. So it is a must need for everyone to get the mails using the best and easy method. The Google Mail which is the most used gmail account in the world but there user is still toady not aware thet they can use Outllok to get mail directly from their Gmail accounts. There is very small steps you have to follow and you will get done.

First of all you have to set up your gmail account setting to enable pop for all mails. For this you need to open your gmail account into google and then go for the settings option. There you find frowarding and POP/IMAP, there you have to enable the pop settings for mails that have arrives for noe on so that only new mails coming will be transfered into Outlook. This is all done here.

Now you have to open Microsoft Outlook and in tools menu you will find accounts click it. It will open a new window like shown below. Click on add menu this will open a new window with a Text box to input a name which you would like to be displayed when you will send mails through Outllok. Give the name of your choice.

When you click next another window displayed in which you have to enter your full gmail address

Click next once again and you will come thorogh a window asking for pop and smtp settings. Enter “pop.gmail.com” and “smtp.gmail.com” for incoming mails and outgoing mails respectively without quotes. Click Next…..

The new window which will comes asking for your password used in Gmail account just give that password and click next and you are finished the primary step.

Now the first window which was displayed will be showing an account with your name click on it on the right menu you will find its properties button. Click it to find the properties window as shown below.

Under advanced tab you will find both the pop and smtp settings click both the check boxes provided that which names “server requires authentication” and for the smtp setting input the number 465 and pop setting 995. And after this just only one step remains click on server tab where u will get all the pop settings you have put earlier.

Check for the Check box “my servers requires authentication ” is cheked or not if not check it and you are done.

Note: Sometimes this was found that clicking on my servers requires authentication does not work just R&D for this, means reverse the check box between Password authentication and server authentication. You will get the desired result.
