Sometime while working on computer, something goes in such a way like while installing a new game , new application, any new driver update, or software update it changes our computer settings and it stops working. It left us no option unless we format or reinstall a fresh windows. But with the windows xp we have an option called system restore that can undo all the last time changes that occurs. It works like an undo command used in several application.
So before you made your mood to use it let me tell you how it works. Window xp used restore points that are periodically recorded snapshots of your computer to fix the errors. Let we ssume that we are going to install a game, while in the whole process our driver profiles, system registry, system files all have to be changed according to the new game settings. This is where the problem occurs sometimes these are not compatible with the system or our hardware and windows and it conflicts with the new settings making our system unstable. This is where the term system restore helps. it takes the snap shots means reserve the all setting that is perfect for our sysytem before loading any new device or program and later these settings are used.
Note : System restore never store or change your personal files or saved files, it only change the system files located in windows or program files area. And for a precaution always take backup of all files on desktop some times their location may change and you have to find them.
