NEW DRIVERLESS SATA RAID 1 CONTROLLER

Data Protection Solutions by Arco (Arco) is a leader in the development and manufacture of affordable and easy to use disk mirroring, drive copier and drive to drive backup solutions. It maintains a commanding lead over its competitors because of its patented technology that puts it ahead of the field.

Featuring our easy to use DupliDisk4 (DD4) RAID 1 patented drive mirroring technology, the MicroRaid is the ideal solution to provide real-time backup protection for your SATA drives where bus slots and extra drive bays are unavailable.

It was released on Thursday, November 19, 2008

he DD4 MicroRaid was designed specifically for small footprint computer systems, such as point of sale (POS), small form factor (SFF) or wherever space is at a premium. The MicroRaid packs two 2.5” SATA drives plus a SATA RAID1 hardware mirroring controller into a single unit that will fit perfectly into any 3.5\” drive bay.

Every time you save data to your drive, the MicroRaid will automatically send the information to both drives, so you always have an exact duplicate of your drive. In case of a drive failure, the other drive will take over automatically without downtime. Since the DD4 is a true “hardware only” system, it offers the highest reliability and can be used with any operating system.

Itzik Levy, owner of Data Protection Solutions says “70% of computer failures are caused by failed disk drives”. By making a low cost investment in Raid1 technology, your computer or disk based appliance is automatically 70% more reliable.
